I hear in the news report that Trump shows up at another international conference and acts like a sociopathic petulant child and other countries grovel to our demands. The reporter makes a fond remembrance about the time when we had a human in chief that cared about future generations right to clean air, water, air. I miss those times too.
I also remember a time in our history when we cared about our legacy and personal ethics. I think hard about science and ethics and the importance of our integrity in doing whatever it takes to protect the natural environment. Trump continues to remind me of a nasty Coronavirus and his distain for my kids and the Earth will not cease until we achieve herd immunity against viruses like him.
The wind cuts through the trees around me. Mosses cradle a puddle. I hear birds song and feel the sun on my neck.
We must never stop loving this extraordinary planet, even in terrible times, grace abounds.
