Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed at a laying hen farm in Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do, marking the 35th outbreak this winter. The government has implemented quarantine measures, including temporary suspension of movement and culling, to prevent further spread. Poultry farms and related facilities are advised to stop movement and thoroughly clean and disinfect to eliminate transmission risks.
