Look I’m an Epidemiologist so these #BlackLivesMatter (BLM) Protests do scare me from social distancing for outbreak control perspective. However, everything I saw by showing up encouraged me that this particular movement in our grossly unequal and unjust space and time is worthy of our solidarity and attention. Not just for Mr. Floyd, though the crimes against him are enough, but because until his murders are brought to justice COVID-19 remains only one of many diseases in our Nation that must be eradicated.
