The NASA NISAR (NASA-Indian Space Research Organisation Synthetic Aperture Radar) program is a joint effort between NASA and the Indian Space Research Organisation to create a dual-frequency synthetic aperture radar satellite. This satellite will be used for remote sensing to observe and measure changes to the Earth’s surface, such as ice and land cover changes, natural disasters, and groundwater levels. The NISAR program is expected to provide significant contributions to our understanding of the Earth’s processes and resources.
