The NASA Pre-Aerosol Clouds and ocean Ecosystem (PACE) program is a satellite mission that will focus on studying the interaction between the ocean ecosystems and Earth’s atmosphere. PACE will track the distribution and properties of aerosols in our atmosphere, as well as the health of different types of ocean phytoplankton. This data will be critical in predicting how the Earth’s climate is changing and how it will continue to change in the future. In addition to Earth science, PACE will have applications in areas such as public health and air quality.
