If Trump and his GOP supporters read science books instead of burning, barring, and blaming them. They would understand that the evolutionary process we are facing with the current climate emergency.
Especially since Trump and GOP have just proved they have no problem breaking international and Constitutional precedent to make money.
The lesson is this. When we pass that irreversible physical barrier of habitability destruction we lock in place the natural selection guarantee. Fitness will unavoidably decrease exponentially. The extreme conditions will wash away our along the basin of our vulnerable unequal landscape and therein the diversity of the ark will disappear.
The floor of our globally dispersed population will bear over night like a Trump economics stock market, but unlike that fantasy game, and our extinction debt trigger will be locked in.
All the privileged little islands removed from the first waves will live long enough to realize the full moral weight of their decisions but there will be nothing they can do.
