I know it’s hypocritical, I’m an Epidemiologist, averages are my daily bread.

But folks when it comes to climate science, it’s time to put the averages away. Don’t take it from TEH though:

“Yes, humans are smarter, richer, healthier, and better educated, on average, than ever before in history. But “on average” is misleading: as the old joke goes, you can have your head in the refrigerator and your feet in the oven and have a perfectly reasonable average temperature. Focusing on “averages” hides extremes and inequities and ignores potentially catastrophic trends.”
