I really like the LA Times but I would add when you write “Haiti’s recent history encompasses tyranny, natural disaster, contagious disease and lawlessness” you could say the same about US 🇺🇸, AND Haiti fought foreign and civil wars to end Slavery 60 years before we did. Even in her darkest hour, Haiti 🇭🇹 still deserves the same respect we reserve for our Democratic Republic
