Inon is so brave and correct. He calls for “Gandhian levels of inner fortitude” and that indeed is the only way out. Think back to the tragic story of King David and his beloved son Absalom. David the warrior recaptured his kingdom and lost his son, his heart, in the transaction. Israel must break these cycles, just as the Palestinian people must discard the ideological miscalculation that Hamas offers a future Palestinian State that cannot be built legitimately on murder and abduction but only obtained with nonviolent resistance and love because place is destiny for Palestine too.
