The number of people hospitalized by doctors at Emergency Medical
Hospital (EMS) No. 8 from an anthrax outbreak in the village of
Lebedinka, Bogucharsky District, Voronezh Region, has increased to 9,
a representative of the press service of the regional health
department told TASS.
“According to emergency hospital No. 8, as of 12 Sep 2023, 9 people
were hospitalized from the Bogucharsky district, 8 cases of anthrax
infection were laboratory confirmed, another is being clarified. All
patients are in a moderate condition. In addition, treatment in the
hospital continues for the resident of the Paninsky district,” the
message says.
Previously, doctors reported that 8 people from an anthrax outbreak in
the village of Lebedinka were hospitalized at Emergency Hospital No. 8
in Voronezh; the diagnosis was laboratory confirmed in all of them.
Also, at the end of August [2023], a man was hospitalized at Emergency
Hospital No. 8 from an anthrax outbreak in the village of Krasnye
Kholmy, Paninsky District, and the disease was also confirmed. …
