In the areas of Thessaly affected by the floods, 1261 admissions to
the area’s hospitals have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
Specifically, 41 cases of gastroenteritis and 91 cases of respiratory
infections have been reported.
During the last day [21 Sep 2023], 4 new hospitalizations due to
gastroenteritis and 8 due to respiratory infections were reported.
Furthermore, 2 enteropathogens were detected by molecular testing in
one person.
Furthermore, 3 new cases of leptospirosis were announced in the Region
of Thessaly, 2 of them in Karditsa and one in Larissa, as informed by
the General Secretary of Public Health, Irini Agapidaki.
