Since the last update [4 Aug 2023], the Ministry of Health reported
194 new cases (1 new confirmed, 193 suspected) and 12 new deaths (case
fatality rate [CFR]: 6.2%) of cholera. Cumulatively 19 766 cases (1891
confirmed, 17 875 suspected) and 480 deaths (CFR: 2.4%) of cholera
have been reported from Cameroon. The outbreak is active in 17 health
districts in 4 regions (Centre, Littoral, South and West).
