Paraguay
National. 21 May 2023. (conf.) 6721 cases as of week 11. In last 3
weeks, 2971 cases; Departments most affected: Central (662 cases),
Asunción (635) and Alto Paraná (198). Central department districts:
Luque (92), San Lorenzo (89), Lambaré (72), Fernando de la Mora (67)
and Itauguá (64). In Asunción, the neighborhoods with the most cases
are Sajonia (57) and Obrero (42).

[A 15 May 2023 report indicates that there were 3845 chikungunya cases
reported in the last 3 weeks, mostly from the Central department (22%)
and the city of Asunción (21%); 217 people have died since October
2022.
