The past few days have witnessed an increase in the number of patients
with H1N1 viral influenza who are attending clinics and hospitals, to
the extent that hospital bed occupancy has been overwhelmed amid a
wave of public panic similar to that occurred during the COVID-19
pandemic. Since the beginning of this year (2025), H1N1 is the leading
cause for respiratory infections in Lebanon.
