in 24 hours till Thursday [11 Jul 2024] morning. Of them, 45 patients
were hospitalised in Dhaka city [capital of Bangladesh], while the
rest were outside the capital, according to the Directorate General of
Health Services (DGHS).
Currently, 315 patients are receiving treatment at several hospitals
across the country. A total of 4311 dengue cases and 47 deaths have
been reported since January 1, 2024.
Last year [2023], a total of 1705 people lost their lives due to
dengue, making it the deadliest year on record. The DGHS recorded 321
179 dengue cases and 318 749 recoveries last year [2023].
