I don’t know her personally but I am proud of her. I am not proud of her because she was part of a radical leftist movement. There is no such movement. I am proud of her because she was a widow of an Iraq veteran and a mother. I am proud of her because she cared about her community and country and she sacrificed her life for her country.
Here’s how she sacrificed her life. She believed in her freedom. She woke up and took her baby to school. She promised to be there to pick her baby up. She then drove to work.
Here’s what I am not proud about. I am proud to live in a country with an Executive Branch, Legislature, and Judiciary that created a secret paramilitary army of armed thugs. These guardians of homeland security, call themselves ICE. How many of these criminals have bulletproof vests and automatic weapons. Freely armed with sidearms they draw at will. No uniform code of conduct in armed conflict. They are their own shot callers.
ICE’s commander in chief has bragged to the nation that he is only accountable to his own morality. The Latin word for character. The joke is he has no character. Get it, he is answerable to nothing but the void that exists between his desire and disregard for others. Still he has own paramilitary force.
Of course he has the actual army too. They enforce his revival of gun boat diplomacy. Remember gunboat diplomacy, don’t have time for history, let me make it plain. The Monroe Doctrine and its Colonial paramours was a root cause of the first and Second World Wars. Trump and ICE and their revolution are trying to unravel the hard earned lessons of history.
Mark me here. Now ICE has shot at least 3 people in two days, in their cars, free Americans. The first casualty was a mom and widow of a veteran. She did nothing wrong but dropped her child off at school and said pause to President’s gunboat antics.
No-one voted for this. No-one voted for WWII either. It came though, because a dictators don’t have time for uniform codes of conduct.
