Baiga are classified as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) in Madhya Pradesh

Need for sentinel surveillance systems for local Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) and please tell me someone working this investigation has Nanopore sequencers.
This is the kind of Epidemiology that keeps TEH up at night BTW. Nothing about the case, environmental, and causality data is superficially apparent here. Could it be malnutrition, I don’t know anything about these people’s diet. There are no GI symptoms identified.
If the Baiga people were hunter gatherers recently are still in state of change to agriculture and if won’t pierce soil they likely don’t have the resources to do so either way, so without farms where does their protein come from and what do we know about their animal and water sources.
We know water is present because of the Malaria, and we know the Malarial agent is the worst type in terms of fatality. In terms of vectors, yes mosquitoes and the worst type of mosquitoes, and clearly fleas and mites too. I am guessing the are the mercy of many parasites and they probably have measures to manage them endemically that we in the fat world haven’t even imagined yet.
There are many references to natural healers, God help us I hope the Epi’s respect them and work side by side at this point in the epidemic. What about accompagnateurs?
Only children getting sick and dying, so do adults have immunity the children lack, what inequality exists between the healthy and the sick that his protecting the adults and not the children.
Whoever works this investigation must do so with purpose–not to conquer, but to learn. This is the only way it will actually be solved in time. Any outsiders must own their independence and speak plainly about it in the field.
The fact that the tribe is a vulnerable group also risks masking the fact that the “civilizations” around this island are not vulnerable if this truly is a spillover pathogen. We are all vulnerable from microbes, but mostly beholden to them, especially parasitic ones. The novel pathogens are always true reporters.
Nor is parasitism limited to the microbes or this tribal region, for just because we are looking in through the glass now and pleading with them to end the uncertainty–10 to 1 it was also likely us that harmed them and the animals and ecological habits because they have existed long before us in this region. What really changed?
Nor are we their saviors now, and knowing these principles is the only way this case gets solved, and we need to solve it accurately and reliably to save ourselves because despite all the inequalities–we are one species.
Will follow this report closely!
