www.nytimes.com/video/world/africa/100000010915385/ebola-who-tedros-rubio-congo.html I have fought many Pandemics in my career. Most people can’t really say that. I haven’t sparred with Ebola yet, but I know I will. I might not survive either. I’ll tell you something else too, the WHO is always at the front line and issuing the first signal long before I get anywhere near the work. In fact it’s not possible for them to be late in this investigation, because they were always there.
I understand why Republicans are so antagonistic towards Public Health Authorities like the WHO. They recognize in the WHO the failures of their own efforts to discourage protection for vulnerable populations. If the WHO does their job right then it doesn’t matter if the U.S. cripples the CDC and turns into a marketplace for nonsense.
We still can all survive the next Pandemic in a World with the WHO, our odds will be much less favorable without them.
