• Yes, it’s true, and we back every empathetic move – we know he’s genuine and the constraints are considerable. Still, we need to stop conflating what’s going on Gaza right now with Ukraine’s struggle. They are not the same fight. Ukraine is battling for the lives and liberty for millions of their citizens. It’s a different conflict we cannot abandon and continue to be who we are. Israel has and continues to deprive Palestinians of everything on Maslow’s pyramid AND now in retaliation against specific terrorist suspects in Hamas, 4000 of their children in 30 days. We can’t fund that either and still be the good soldiers.

This logic stands on a fallacy because Israel has already proven smashing a people with bombs, disease, starvation, thirst suppresses violence momentarily but inspires future violence in perpetuity, SO stop killing kids now. The only solution to long term peace is to give both states equal access to life, liberty, and prosperity.

David the warrior recaptured his kingdom and lost his son, his heart, in the transaction. Israel must break these cycles, just as the Palestinian people must discard the ideological miscalculation that Hamas offers a future Palestinian State that cannot be built legitimately on murder and abduction but only obtained with nonviolent resistance and love because place is destiny for Palestine too.
