This is where my joy is today after the blue wave and it’s a win for everyone in the world and our redeeming spirit as a country. I am proud of President Trump’s response also. The democracy lives, and none of us should ever forget what we have seen over the past decade.
The red wave was real. The blue wave was real. And, we can change our minds and stand up to change our direction without fighting another Civil War!
I acknowledge also that I have been extreme at times as my disbelief turned to distress and I lost hope too quickly. I was too partisan too often and offended more easily than I ought to be. I remain clear-eyed in the mission of TEH as sentinels for Nature and the vulnerable.
I will never let loose of the mandate that climate change, disease, and inequality still pose existential threats. However I see new evidence of strength in our resilience as a species to adapt.
Onwards.
